About the event
The LACUE Conference supports teachers by providing everything they need to create a fully engaged classroom. At LACUE teachers are learning how to transform classrooms to increase student engagement with the latest learning strategies that integrate technology to affect student achievement, individually or as a class. From hands-on workshops diving into the world of 3D printing to interactive presentations exploring best practices for today’s top tools like Google Classroom, Kahoot and SeeSaw, teachers will find just what they need to hone their skills and develop new competencies.
Workshops and sessions go beyond just learning a new tool or technology skill as by blending content knowledge into their presentations. Presenters are carefully selected for their outstanding knowledge and up-to-date expertise in the integration of all kinds of technologies, including apps, extensions, websites, Web 2.0 tools, social media, and much, much more. Teachers will learn how to incorporate technology into their lesson plans to engage students in learning activities that motivate and inspire them. Multiple learning formats (presentations, hands-on workshops, poster sessions, vendor-led presentations, and interactive learning areas) allow teachers to customize their learning experiences.
Additionally, opportunities abound to strengthen PLNs through facilitated discussion groups and other networking opportunities with like-minded teachers. With content delivered in a wide variety of formats, the conference is specifically tailored to accommodate all learning styles and appeal to educators at all levels. LACUE keynote speakers and guest presenters are renown in the Ed Tech world and provide contemporary insight. This is a chance to network and learn from the best and the brightest gurus in our field – and every registration includes free membership to LACUE with access to webinars, networking opportunities and mini-conferences held throughout Louisiana. Teachers return from the conference with powerful techniques and resources to share with their colleagues who couldn't be there in person.
