Deledao ActiveInsights™ is the only instructional solution that uses InstantAI™ technology across all its products to prevent students from going down rabbit holes on YouTube, Google Sites, Google Doodle, and more.
Deledao ActiveInsights™ helps K12 IT, admins and educators streamline their workflows while defeating digital distractions, with the final result of helping to improve student engagement and helping to recover academic gains eroded by the pandemic.
Legacy solutions still use technology developed in the late ‘90s. They classify web domains into known categories in their databases to block or allow entire web domains. This no longer works in the age of user-generated content and is especially true for social media sites (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, etc.). Each page of a web domain might belong to a different category. Pages that dynamically populate (i.e. pages with endless scroll) may switch between categories as more content loads.
Legacy products don’t work well on Google search results. Some of them have evolved to support keyword blocking. This is still insufficient because keywords can have different meanings in different contexts. For instance, we cannot simply block the word “adult” to block for mature content because while “adult movies” is blocked, legitimate search results, such as “adult education,” are also blocked.
Deledao takes a completely different approach.
Deledao uses patented, real-time artificial intelligence technologies to instantly block or blur distracting and inappropriate digital content. InstantAI™, GameChanger™, and MediaMonitor™ bring students back to assigned instructional resources to keep them engaged with the lesson content.
Instead of pre-assigning categories to web domains, Deledao analyzes individual webpage content in real time with its patented artificial intelligence technology. Deledao’s text engine reads like humans do. The image analysis engine identifies racy and adult pictures to blur them in real time. Most impressively, it can even analyze videos in real time while the videos play. When the AI engine detects inappropriate video frames, it blurs and mutes the video until the inappropriate scene is over.
The Deledao products are 100% cloud-based and can be set up in 20 minutes or less.
On Chromebooks, Deledao is deployed as an extension from the Chrome Management Console.
On Windows and Mac OS devices, Deledao can be deployed on school devices to filter any browser with real-time AI technology.
On iOS devices, Deledao can be deployed through a cloud proxy solution.
Yes. If you use the Deledao ActiveInsights™ extension, it embeds anti-tracking technology to protect student data privacy online. Deledao shields students’ online activities from third parties that collect and sell student information to the highest bidder in online advertising. Without this shield, students are served targeted content that can shape their behaviors accordingly, which may negatively impact their growth.
With better technology to screen in real time and a focus on student privacy, you can have peace of mind that we keep students safe and learning.

Frequently asked questions
ActiveInstruct™ is built specifically for live classroom instruction, giving teachers visibility and control during active teaching sessions.
Features include session‑based classroom views, teacher‑managed access controls, instructional unblocking workflows, and engagement signals that help teachers understand how students are interacting with learning content during class.
This allows teachers to guide focus and participation, without needing to constantly monitor individual screens.
Yes. ActiveInstruct requires ActiveScan to be deployed in order to function. ActiveScan provides the underlying web activity visibility and policy framework that ActiveInstruct builds on for classroom management features. ActiveInstruct is installed as an add‑on to ActiveScan and is enabled through the same admin console and device management workflow.
Districts can choose when and how broadly to enable ActiveInstruct once ActiveScan is in place, allowing for phased rollout by school or classroom.
ActiveInstruct™ requires Deledao’s filtering platform to be deployed and cannot operate independently of it. However, many districts choose to pilot ActiveInstruct™ alongside an existing filtering solution during evaluation or phased adoption.
In these cases, Deledao filtering is enabled to support ActiveInstruct’s classroom management features, while the district’s existing filter may continue to handle primary enforcement during the transition period. This allows schools to evaluate ActiveInstruct’s classroom workflows and teacher tools before making broader changes to their filtering stack.
ActiveInstruct™ is deployed through Deledao’s admin console and integrates with existing device management and identity systems already used by most districts.
IT teams can enable ActiveInstruct at the school, classroom, or user‑group level using existing organizational units and policies, without requiring on‑prem hardware or network changes. Deployment can be phased or piloted by school or grade level, and Deledao’s onboarding and support teams are available to guide IT administrators through setup and best practices.
Schools using ActiveInstruct™ have reported measurable improvements in productivity, teacher control, and reduced IT burden.
At Heritage Community Charter School, teachers said ActiveInstruct made a “huge difference in student productivity,” with students spending more time on assigned work and fewer distractions during class. Administrators also praised how well it integrated with Deledao’s full platform.
At Mandel Jewish Day School, teachers gained the ability to manage their own classrooms in real time instead of waiting for IT to approve unblock requests. The school also reported fewer off-task behaviors and stronger teacher satisfaction after switching.
At Celina Independent School District, Deledao helped a rapidly growing district streamline device management, improve digital safety, and consolidate tools across iPads and Chromebooks; giving staff a more efficient and scalable learning environment.
Across districts, common outcomes include more focused classrooms, faster teacher workflows, less time spent on manual monitoring, and improved student engagement.

ActiveInstruct™ gives IT administrators the ability to delegate limited, classroom‑level access control to teachers within IT‑approved policies. Teachers can temporarily unblock or share instructional websites during class using built‑in workflows, without submitting IT tickets for routine access needs.
This shared‑control approach reduces the volume of day‑to‑day unblock requests sent to IT, while preserving district oversight and policy enforcement. As a result, IT teams spend less time on routine access tickets and more time on higher‑priority initiatives.
