Setting Up Your iOS Device

Step 1: Set up Screen Time passcode to prevent your child from changing device settings

Step 2: Disable/uninstall apps that may interfere with Deledao Family

Step 1: Set up Screen Time passcode to prevent your child from changing device settings

1. Make sure the device is either (1) completely signed out or (2) logged in with the child’s Apple ID. To set up an Apple ID for your child, refer to Apple's website.

Go to settings, tap 'Screen Time' and continue.

3. Set desired hours for child's downtime or click 'Not Now' to set later.

5. Tap continue.

2. Select 'This is my child's iPad.'

4. Set app limits or click 'Not Now' to set later.

6. Set a Screen Time passcode different from the device passcode.

7. Enter your Apple ID (parent's Apple ID) to recover Screen Time passcode.

 

Step 2: Disable/uninstall apps that may interfere with Deledao Family

1. Go to settings, tap 'Screen Time' and tap 'Content & Privacy Restrictions.'

3. Tap 'Allowed Apps.'

2. Toggle on 'Content & Privacy Restrictions' and enter Screen Time Passcode if prompted.

4. Toggle Safari or other apps to disable them.

5. If the iOS device you are giving to your child has non-Apple apps installed, please uninstall the following list of apps:

  • Browser apps: Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc.

  • Streaming video apps: YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Crackle, etc.

  • Social media apps (highly recommended): Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Twitch, etc.

Your child can access those services under the protection of the Deledao Junior browser.

 

Step 3: Prevent your child from downloading and uninstalling apps

1. Go to settings, tap 'Screen Time' then tap 'Content & Privacy Restrictions.'

3. Tap 'iTunes & App Store Purchases.'

2. Toggle on 'Content & Privacy Restrictions' and enter Screen Time Passcode if prompted.

4. Select 'Don't Allow' for app installation, deletion, and purchases. Tap 'Always Require' for password.
